Sound of Somnium     

Welcome to the Global Scaled Realtime Sound of Somnium Band Contest in Somnium Space! We are excited to invite all bands to apply!

 

Ever thought about performing in the metaverse?! Here is your chance!

 

Here is how you can apply:

1. Record a video of your band performing one of your original songs.

2. Upload your video to a platform of your choosing (such as YouTube, Vimeo or Authencity).

3. Send your application link to events@vr-venues.com. Please make sure to include your band name, genre, and a short bio.

4. Applications start now and will close on the 25th of June.

5. Selected bands will be announced on the 1st of July.

 

Here the details about the contest:

​

• 6 bands will compete from the comfort of their homes/rehearsal room

• The prize pool of 1500 USD will be split between the winner and second place.

• All genres are allowed (Blues, Reggae, Classic/Alternative, Rock, Hip Hop ect.)

• There will be two types of voting: public and jury.

• The event will be split into two rounds. The first  round will be a web-world event where all  bands will perform (split in two days on August 18th & 19th) for 15-20 minutes each, followed by five minutes of jury feedback. After the first round, three bands will be selected to move to the final round.

• The final will be a live event in a VR World, where the three selected bands will perform once more, followed by both public and jury voting.

What do you need:

• Stable internet connection (ideally in your rehearsal room)

• Well lit environment

• Positive vibes

• Technical details will be discussed personally (no VR headset needed)
